Change Master Shape Name

Hello. Can someone confirm if it s possible to change master shape name/version of some objects once they were placed on sheets ? I m trying this using VBA; in debug mode master shape name apparently seems changed with new name, but i cannot find any method to store this change (Store method is not allowed); (I basically need to update all over a project documents wiring diagrams, the existing shapes used for IO; but just noticed by doing an export that there are high differences : existing shapes name is not unique per object type - so i cannot use Update Shape; I created a final version of master shape, and for updating all existing IO, i was thinking to rename their master shape as the final version and set revision-1, by using VBA and next use Update Shape). Any suggestions ? Thank you.
