Programmatically show worksheet

Hi,
In this answer it was described how to open worksheet with multiple root objects. Is it possible to programmatically via API activate/show worksheet to the user (for interaction)?

The idea is to collect root objects programmatically and then show (not open inside code, but open in user interface) such worksheet for user interaction?

I know how to store WS configuration programmatically, so that user can later on activate such WS manually, but idea is to collect root objects dynamically in the moment of opening, according to some programmatically defined rule.
