How to programatically find out where specific user defined attribute is used?

I defined one attribute and used in one or two places. Then I changed my mind and deleted where it is used (I beleive so:). I also emptied all Recycle bins. When trying to delete that attribute on database level, EB responds that the attribute is still used somewhere. How to find where?
